Power Management policy shows as "Not Supported" with x2APIC mode in the BIOS (2043714)

Details

The Power Management policy shows as "Not Supported" when x2APIC mode is enabled in the BIOS. This can happen when the BIOS does not provide _PSD objects. When _PSD objects are not present, ESXi falls back to code that generates the P-state domain information from built-in knowledge. This issue occurs when the code sometimes fails. 

Solution

This is a known issue.
