SSL VPN tunnel stops working if the internal interface of the vShield Edge in the source cloud is disconnected and reconnected (2042029)

Details

When you move a virtual machine or a vApp from a private vSphere cloud to a public vCloud with the Stretch Deploy command, an SSL VPN tunnel is established between the two. If, on the source vSphere cloud, you disconnect the internal interface of the vShield Edge (with which the SSL VPN tunnel is associated), the SSL VPN tunnel stops working. It will not be re-established even if you reconnect the internal interface of the vShield Edge.

Solution

This is a known issue.
