Issues with installing vCenter Orchestrator Client 5.1 on OSX Mountain Lion (2041655)

Details

If you use OSX Mountain Lion and you unzip vCenter Orchestrator Client 5.1 with a program different than the default operating system one, it might not be possible to start the Orchestrator client. If you run the application in the console, you might see an error, such as:
com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[144]: ([0x0-0xc49c49].vCenterOrchestrator[14384]) Job failed to exec(3) for weird reason: 13

Solution

  1. Open console in the folder where you unzip the client.
  2. Run the command:
chmod +x vCenterOrchestrator.app/Contents/MacOS/vCenterOrchestrator
