Save new cluster configuration without requiring Apply Configuration to run in Socialcast On Premise v2 (2040402)

Purpose

Often, after making changes to the cluster configuration in Socialcast, the configuration lists items as Modified with red text. These items become active in the configuration once the Apply Latest Configuration task completes successfully. If this does not complete, the configuration reverts back to its previous state, resulting in the new changes not being applied.

In some cases, the configuration must be manually saved on the master node to allow other manual cluster tasks to be performed to fix the errors that are causing the Apply Latest Configuration task to fail.

Resolution

To mark the configuration as deployed and save it to the cluster's configuration database, perform the following steps.

Log in to the master node via the CLI. For more information, see Accessing the Command Line Interface (CLI) in the Socialcast On Premise appliance (2008758).
Execute the following commands in sequence:
- bash$ sudo su -
- bash$ cd /var/www/scmc
- bash$ LD_PRELOAD=/opt/sqlite-36/lib/libsqlite3.so bin/rails runner -e production "ClusterConfiguration.save_configuration"

Once complete, the list of configuration items in Cluster Configuration display as Up to Date in green text.
