Retrieving logs from VMware vCloud Automation Center 4.5 (2036956)
This article provides information on the log files to be retrieved from VMware vCloud Automation Center (vCAC).
Note: This article assumes you are using the default location for the logs and installation of vCAC components. Locations and other details for logging can be modified in the config file of each component.
VMware vCloud Automation Center (vCAC) stores logs in several locations as there are several modules involved in the vCAC functionality. When gathering log files for review or for submitting to VMware Support, ensure that you gather the files created or modified during the time the failure or event occurred. Also, ensure to gather all logs involved in the process that failed. For example, if you had a problem provisioning a virtual machine at 2 PM, gather all logs created at or before 2 PM from the vCAC Server Error and All, vCAC Agent, and vCAC DEM. If you are unsure of the logs to be collected, contact VMware Support.
