Collecting diagnostic information for VMware vCenter Server Multi-Hypervisor Manager (2036696)

Purpose

VMware Technical Support routinely requests diagnostic information from you when a support request is addressed. This diagnostic information contains product specific logs and configuration files from the host on which the product is run. This information is gathered using a specific script or tool within the product.

This article provides procedures for obtaining diagnostic information for vCenter Server Multi-Hypervisor Manager.

The diagnostic information obtained by using this article is uploaded to VMware Technical Support. To uniquely identify your information, use the Support Request (SR) number you receive when you create the new SR.

Resolution

To obtain diagnostic information from vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager:

  1. Browse to the installation directory of the vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager server. The default installation directory is:

    C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VMware vCenter MHM

  2. Double-click the mhm-support.bat file.

The vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager log files are saved as a .zip file in the vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager installation directory.

The MHM support log should be located at:
C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VMware vCenter MHM\mhm-support.zip


Note: A vCenter Server log bundle may be required to fully troubleshoot any issues you may be having between vCenter Multi-Hypervisor Manager and vCenter Server. For more information, see Collecting diagnostic information for VMware vCenter Server (1011641).
