When you perform Appsync from 4.7.2 to 4.7.3. AppSync displays the following error message "The operating system cannot run" (2036567)

Details

Capture Mozilla Firefox 3 with appsync enabled to Mozilla Firefox with 4.7.2.
Capture Mozilla Firefox 9 from 4.7.3.
Copy Mozilla Firefox 3 package on a fresh machine.
Copy Mozilla Firefox 9 captured on step 2 to the IIS Web server.
Launch Mozilla Firefox 3 application.
Wait for Mozilla Firefox 9 application to download.
After the download is complete, close Mozilla Firefox 3 and re-launch the same exe again.

Solution

The error message The operating system cannot run is a known issue and it might not be fixed due to the architectural difference between, 4.7.3 and earlier ThinApp versions. Please note that the actual AppSynch operation completes successfully in spite of the error message.
