Unable to create a vApp using storage profiles (2036294)

Symptoms

  • Unable to create vApp using storage profiles
  • The vcloud-container-debug.log contains entries similar to:

    2012-09-25 12:25:38,321 | ERROR    | sf-activity-pool-74       | SpbmServiceImpl                | SPS NotEnoughLicenses failure of 1 attempts to make SPS call at VC

Cause

This issue occurs if VM Storage Profiles have not been enabled on the cluster.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, enable VM Storage Profiles.
 
To enable VM Storage Profiles:
  1. Browse to the VM Storage Profiles section of the vSphere Web Client.
  2. Click the icon with the green check mark.
  3. In the Enable VM Storage Profiles window, select the cluster and click Enable.
