Symptoms

  • The Power Users group allows administrators of Microsoft Windows systems to delegate certain administrative tasks to normal user accounts.
  • A member of the Power Users group may be able to gain additional rights and permissions on your guest operating system.

Resolution

The administrator of a virtual datacenter should carefully consider the permissions granted to guest operating system users because Power User privileges can be leveraged to gain complete administrative privileges.
