VMware ESXi 5.0 host fails with a Purple Screen Of Death when using Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM57810 10 Gigabit Ethernet cards (2034766)

Note: To date this issue has only been seen on HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 hosts.

Cause

This issue is caused by the bnx2x driver.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware ESXi 5.0.
