The impact of the VXLAN overlay networks on netqueue behavior (2032810)
Details
When VXLAN is enabled, all virtual machine traffic is processed through
the PNIC queue 0. In this configuration, although PNIC supports multiple
netqueue instances and some netqueues might be allocated for other traffic, all the received
traffic is still handled by queue 0.
In the case of an RSS-capable driver, apart from allocating RSS netqueues, additional netqueues get allocated but remain unused. Only RSS netqueue is used to process all the VXLAN traffic.
