Changes made in Subject Editor do not take affect on some message types in VMware Service Manager 9.x (2031107)
Symptoms
- Changes made to the subject of certain message types are not saved.
- Changes made under Subject Editor to message type Call - Logged External Reply (Message Code 1111) are not saved.
- Changes made in Subject Editor are not saved.
Purpose
This article describes a specific set of issues. If you experience any of the above symptoms, consult the sections below.
Resolution
Though you can edit custom messages in Subject Editor. To edit other message types:
Caution: Document the existing System Title before making any changes, as changes cannot be undone later.
- Go to Admin > System > System Title.
- Click the Name column to sort the list alphabetically.
- In the list, locate the subject header you want to edit.
- Make the necessary changes.
