Summaries and Symptoms

This bulletin includes all software updates required to install VMware ESX 4.1 Update 3 on a host. A host is not considered running ESX 4.1 Update 3 until it is compliant with this bulletin. For more information, see the KBs for the individual bulletins.

Patch Download and Installation

Download the patch ZIP file from http://support.vmware.com/selfsupport/download/ and install the bulletin using esxupdate from the command line of the host. For more information, see the ESX 4.1 Patch Management Guide. This patch can also be downloaded through online portal using vSphere update manager and patch it on the host.
