Server.setCustomProperty fails after upgrading to vCenter Orchestrator 4.2.1 (2020218)

Details

When you upgrade Orchestrator to version 4.2.1, Server.setCustomProperty might fail when you use Microsoft SQL Server as an Orchestrator database.

Solution

To fix this problem, run the following SQL script on the machine on which your Orchestrator database is located:

ALTER TABLE vmo_customproperty ALTER COLUMN refObjId NVARCHAR(MAX) NOT NULL
