Before You Install This Patch

To ensure that you have the most complete set of security fixes, VMware strongly recommends that you first upgrade to ESXi 4.0 Update 4 and then apply this patch.

Note: This upgrade will require rebooting the host and migration or shutdown of virtual machines.

Patch Download and Installation

ESXi hosts can be updated by downloading the patch zip file from http://support.vmware.com/selfsupport/download/ and using the vihostupdate command through the vSphere CLI. For details, see the vSphere CLI Installation and Reference Guide and the vSphere Upgrade Guide.
