Unable to log in to the admin UI after upgrading to vCenter Operations Manager 5.0.1 (2019676)
Symptoms
- After upgrading to vCenter Operations Manager 5.0.1, you are unable to log in to the admin UI using a previously configured password
- The local admin user can log in to the vSphere and custom UI, but not the admin UI
- You see the error:
The user ID and password combination is invalid. Please try again
- In the /usr/lib/tomcat-ciqadmin/logs/localhost-date.log file, you see entries similar to:

Resolution
This is a known issue.
To work around this issue, clear the cache or perform a full browser refresh by pressing Ctrl + F5.
