Group type options when creating a new group in Socialcast (2015378)

Purpose

When creating a new group in Socialcast, you can configure additional options for the group.

These options include:

Idea Group
Notifications
Company Stream

This article provides information on these options.

Resolution

Idea Group

When a group is created as an Idea Group, all messages posted are created as ideas which can be rated, instead of the standard messages that can be liked.

For more information on posting Ideas, see Creating an Idea in Socialcast (2014486).

Notifications

When a group is created with this option, all members receive e-mail notifications when new messages are posted.

Company Stream

When a group is created with this option, messages within this group are excluded from appearing in the Company Stream. The Company Stream aims to shows all publicly posted content to users who want to see all available activity as it occurs.
