View virtual machine becomes unresponsive when redirecting a USB device (2015115)

Symptoms

When connecting or redirecting a USB device to a VMware View desktop, the desktop stops responding
The View desktop displays the blue diagnostic screen and then becomes unavailable
The desktop must be reset from the View Administrator console to be made available again
The blue diagnostic screen displays an error similar to:

Error message: "The problem seems to be caused by the following file: VFileScsiFilter.sys" "DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERTION"

STOP code: 0X000000CE

Cause

This issue occurs when McAfee MOVE 2.0 is installed on the View virtual machine.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, download and install Hotfix 724255 provided by McAfee.
