Service Manager incoming email received from a non-existing email ID creates a new customer record with system generated user ID (2010812)

Symptoms

When a Service Manager incoming email is received from an email address that does not exist in the system, it creates a new customer record with a generic system generated user ID in the format UserX, with the default Customer Portal role.

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue.
 
It has been assessed as an acceptable limitation of the product with no immediate plans to resolve.
