ESX/ESXi 4.x host fails with a purple diagnostic screen when VMFS snapshot volumes are exposed to multiple hosts in a vCenter Server cluster (2007353)

Symptoms

  • ESX/ESXi 4.x host fails with a purple diagnostic screen
  • In the vmkdump file or the purple diagnostic screen, you see entries similar to:

This issue is resolved in ESX/ESXi 4.0 Update 3 and ESX/ESXi 4.1 Update 2.
