Automatic auto-discovery runs for a platform (2007308)
Symptoms
The auto-discovery process in VMware vFabric Hyperic Agent is run either manually, initiated from the user interface, or automatically at a pre-determined point in time.
Purpose
This article provides information on determining when automatic auto-discovery is initiated in VMware vFabric Hyperic Agent.
Resolution
In the Agent's agent.properties configuration file contains the autoinventory.runtimeScan.interval.millis attribute that has a default value of 86400000 - 24 hours. This attribute tells the Agent when to run the auto-discovery (every certain number of milliseconds).
To resolve this issue, you must adjust the default value. Restart the Agent for the change to take effect.
