Purpose

This article provides information about the My VMware home page.

Details

What is My VMware?

My VMware simplifies and streamlines your interactions with VMware and provides an account-based view of license keys, support requests, contracts, and other information. You can also view and access your downloads and evaluations.

Through My VMware, you have increased flexibility. You can save time with self-service features and guided workflows, and delegate task-based roles with granular permissions.

My VMware home page

The My VMware home page is a central location to access and manage your VMware products and support.
 
Left Column
 
The left column of the My VMware home page has these features:
  • Quick Links – shortcuts to useful pages and resources
  • Featured Free Trials – products available for evaluations
Main section
 
The main section of the My VMware home page displays summary information for alerts, accounts, evaluations, and support requests. You can customize this display by clicking Customize:

Information Details
Alerts
  • The alerts summary shows the latest alerts for your accounts and indicates how many alerts have not yet been read. The alerts summary shows similar information for any alerts received that are not account specific.
  • Alerts provide information about support request status changes, license keys that need to be activated, products that have new versions available for download, and more.
  • Unread alerts appear in bold text.
  • The number of new alerts indicates the number of unread messages that are currently in your list of alerts.

Note: Alerts about changes to subscriptions do not show on the My VMware home page. You must go to the Alerts page to view these alerts. For information on changing your subscriptions, see Viewing and updating your My VMware profile (2007008).

Accounts
  • This summary displays up to three accounts with which you are associated. If you are associated with more than three accounts, click Show more accounts to display a summary of all your accounts.
  • Additional details also display, including the date the account was last updated, account name, account number, and your role for that particular account.
  • If you are not associated with an account, this summary does not display.

My Evaluations
  • This summary displays active evaluations and expiration dates.
  • You can start new evaluations, view additional details, and buy products through the links in this section.

Support Requests
  • This summary displays the status and last updated date of Support Requests.
  • There are also links to frequently used resources, such as Knowledge Base articles and product documentation.
