Symptoms

Configuring management IP addresses with the same prefix as the public IP may prevent the proper IP from being assigned during switchover/failover when deploying with multiple identities.

Resolution

When deploying with multiple identities, using IP addresses that have identical prefixes may prevent the proper IP from being assigned during switchover/failover.

For example, if the public (principal) IP is configured with 192.168.1.5, do not configure the management IPs with 192.168.1.5x (192.168.1.51, 192.168.1.52, and so on).

To avoid this issue, configure management IPs with a non-identical prefix (such as 192.168.1.15 or 192.168.1.25).
