API Bridge fails to create call with the error: The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded (2004732)

Symptoms

  • API Bridge is unable to create a call
  • You see the error:

    Error:  "deserializing the object of type System.String. The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML data. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. Line 112, position 8."

Cause

This issue occurs if a call is logged though API Bridge and the description received is longer than the maximum length of 8192 characters with spaces.

Resolution

This is a known issue.
 
To work around this issue, open a case through the Customer Portal. The Support team can work with you to implement this on your system.
 
When this issue is resolved, this article will be updated with patch information.
