  • The Windows Event logs may show errors similar to:

Cause

In certain scenarios, this issue is caused by unexpected behavior in the virtual machine's Monitor when set to Software Monitor mode.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in ESX/ESXi 4.1 Update 2. You can download the latest version from the VMware Download Center.
