Opening a VMware Service Manager call fails with the error: EnableDisableCustomFields function fail (2003581)

Symptoms

  • Cannot open the Service Manager call screen
  • Opening a Service Manager call fails
  • You see the error:

    EnableDisableCustomFields function fail

  • This issue occurs after you added a note with text copied from another Web page.
  • Only individual calls are effected

Cause

This issue occurs if the note that you added contains a Web page link and the link has a <fieldset> tag, but does not have the name attribute.

Resolution

To workaround this issue, contact VMware Support and quote this Knowledge Base article ID (2003581) in the support request.
