Purpose
HP delivers a set of WBEM providers that enable you to fully monitor and manage HP ProLiant servers running ESXi 5.0 and 4.x. The servers can be managed using these providers from HP Insight Control, VMware vCenter Server, or any client that support WBEM/CIM. This article provides information about the HP Insight Management WBEM Providers for ESXi.

HP Insight Management WBEM Providers for ESXi
HP Insight Management WBEM Providers for ESXi deliver a full set of monitoring and management information and capabilities for HP ProLiant server hardware. This information covers all aspects of the server’s health including fans, power supplies, temperature, CPUs, memory and locally attached storage. These providers are delivered as a single offline bundle from HP’s website. They are also included in the HP custom ESXi image. The table in the Supported hardware and software section of this article describes the full list of CIM providers delivered by HP for use with ESXi.

HP Insight Management WBEM Providers for ESXi support CIM indication to SNMP mapping capability to generate HP SNMP traps.
