The tooltip message for HA-protected virtual machines with Restart Priority set to Disabled indicate the virtual machine is not protected (2000062)

Symptoms

  • You have set the VM Restart Priority of a virtual machine to Disabled
  • When you click the tooltip icon to the right of the vSphere HA Protection status in the Summary tab of this virtual machine, the last line of the tooltip text incorrectly states that the virtual machine is only protected if:

Restart priority has not been disabled for this VM in the cluster

Resolution

This is a known issue, and is currently being reviewed by VMware.

The text in the tooltip window is incorrect. The virtual machine's protection status is independent of the Restart Priority.

You can safely ignore this part of the text.
