VI Client Menus Do Not Show Expected Choices (1900576)
Details
VI Client menus typically change based on the status and type of
object selected. Only the subset of valid choices for the
particular object should appear. In some circumstances, the context
menu does not reflect the relevant options. For virtual machines
that are powered on, for example, the Power On
option should not be available--but in some cases it is.
Solution
To work around this issue, start a new instance of the VI Client.
