Does Capacity Planner Differentiate Between Different Versions of the Same Application?

I have several versions of a software application deployed on various servers. Does Capacity Planner differentiate between them (between Oracle 8, 9, 10i, and 10g, for example)?

Solution

Yes. For Windows systems, the inventory shows the same text as you see in the Add/Remove Programs window, based on how Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) returns the text. As long as each software version is distinctly identified in the Add/Remove Programs list, it is also listed that way in the Capacity Planner Manager and Dashboard data.
