Running Management Agents on ESX Server 2.5.x in linux-up or linux Modes is not Supported

Details

Some management agent services may fail to start when booting into linux-up or linux mode.  This does not impact system maintenance work, such as patch or maintenance release upgrade.

Solution

Do not run management agents on ESX Server 2.5.4 in linux-up or linux modes.
