Why can I not keep my VMware Registration Service
running?
Solution
VMware Registration Service stops over and over with the
following kind of error in the event log: The VMware Registration Service service terminated unexpectedly.
It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be
taken in 0 milliseconds: Restart the service.
You may also see an error similar to this in the VirtualCenter
server's Windows event log when the server is terminated
unexpectedly: Application Error Faulting application vmserverdWin32.exe,
version 3.1.0.9089, faulting module vmserverdWin32.exe, version
3.1.0.9089, fault address 0x00060169.
This service termination sometimes disconnects the host from
VirtualCenter.
Currently, there is no workaround to this problem. To fix the
problem permamently, you should upgrade to VirtualCenter 1.3.
This problem affects GSX Server 3.1, GSX Server 3.2, and
VirtualCenter 1.2.
