Scheduled Tasks Do Not Show Correct Time When Timezone Is Changed
Details
Solution
This problem occurs on a local client when you:
- Run a VirtualCenter Client and connect it to a local VirtualCenter server.
- Create an hourly scheduled task.
- Change the timezone on the VirtualCenter server.
- The run time of the existing scheduled task continues to display the time in the previous timezone.
- Create a new hourly scheduled task. The displayed next run time is still based on the previous timezone.
The problem occurs on a remote client when you:
- Connect a remote VirtualCenter client to a VirtualCenter server.
- Create a hourly scheduled task.
- Change the timezone on the server, and change the timezone on the remote VirtualCenter client to be the same as that on the VirtualCenter server.
- The existing scheduled task continues to display the time in the previous timezone on the remote VirtualCenter client.
- Create a new houly scheduled task. The displayed next run time continues to be based on the previous timezone.
To work around this problem:
- Shut down the VirtualCenter client.
- Change the timezone.
- Restart the VirtualCenter client.
