Installer Starts Even if VMware ACE Manager is Running (1760)

I am upgrading to a new version of VMware ACE Manager. I
started the installer for VMware ACE Manager while an instance of
VMware ACE Manager was running. The new installation was not
successful. What should I do?
Solution
This article applies to VMware ACE 1.0.1.
In this release, you can launch the VMware ACE Manager installer
even if a previously installed copy of VMware ACE Manager is
running on the host computer. When this happens, the new version of
VMware ACE Manager is not installed as expected. Instead, you must
reboot the host computer to complete the installation.
