Virtual machine crashes while using USB device in GSX Server 3.2 (1695)

Details

While I was using a USB device in my GSX Server 3.2 virtual machine, the virtual machine crashed. What can I do?

Solution

In GSX Server 3.2, when you use certain USB devices that generate large amounts of I/O, such as USB scanners or external drives, the virtual machine can crash.

As a workaround to this issue, upgrade to the latest version of VMware Server, available from our Download Center.
