Why is my ESX Server installation on an IBM system with Supervisor Adapter II card not working?

Solution

If you are installing ESX Server on a system with an RSA II card, use the text-mode installation method. Choosing the graphical installation method is not supported on the following servers:
  • IBM xSeries 445 with optional RSA II
  • IBM xSeries 345 with optional RSA II
  • IBM xSeries 365
  • IBM xSeries 346
  • IBM xSeries 336
