GSX Server Displays Incorrect Information About User Account Running a Virtual Machine

Why does the GSX Server virtual machine I created through VirtualCenter show a different user running the virtual machine?

Solution

GSX Server virtual machines created through VirtualCenter are always configured to run as the VirtualCenter user account. However, if you examine such a virtual machine with the GSX Server console, you may see an incorrect indication that the virtual machine runs as the "User that powers on the virtual machine."

No action is required for correct functionality, as this is purely a cosmetic problem with the display in the GSX Server console. The display corrects itself if the VMware Registration Service is restarted or if the host is rebooted.
