Virtual Machine Disk Size Reported as -1MB or Size Unavailable (1500)
Details
While reviewing my virtual machines using VirtualCenter, I see
one or more virtual machine disks reporting a size of -1MB or Size Unavailable.
Why has this occurred?
Solution
In certain cases, the agent running on an ESX Server or GSX
Server system managed by VirtualCenter is unable to poll specific
virtual machine disk files for capacity information. This polling
failure results in a reported disk size of -1MB or Size Unavailable.
This is harmless and in no way affects the operation of the
virtual machines.
