Why can I not edit the serial port setting of my virtual
machine?
Solution
When a virtual machine is migrated or cloned between an ESX
Server and GSX Server host, you cannot edit the serial port setting
through the customization process.
After the virtual machine is migrated or cloned, then use the
virtual machine Properties dialog box to edit the serial port
setting.
