After changing floppies in a USB floppy drive, the file list does not refresh with the new contents

You may experience these issues:

You change media in a USB floppy, but cannot see the contents of the new floppy.
Automatic installer for multi-diskette installation prompts for 2nd diskette, but an error message appears indicating that the volume cannot be found:

VMware - vmx.exe - wrong volume" (the wrong volume is in the drive, please insert volume into drive B:)

This is a known issue.

To workaround this issue, disconnect the floppy, change the media, and then reconnect the floppy.
