Bulletin Board objects in VMware Service Manager are not visible
Symptoms
- Bulletin Board objects in VMware Service Manager are not visible even if the user has object view rights
- Objects attached to a Bulletin Board entry can be accessed only when reviewing or editing the Bulletin Board entry
- Bulletin Board objects cannot be accessed without Bulletin Board edit rights
- No attachments are available in the Bulletin Board
- The objects are visible if you have create/edit rights
Resolution
This is a known issue in VMware Service Manager 9.x.
To workaround this issue, assign create/edit permissions to the user.
