Unable to update the iOS software on Apple devices in View 4.6 (1038222)
Symptoms
- You see an iTunes error indicating that the update failed.
- Black display on the iOS device showing USB cable icon.
Resolution
USB connections to iPod, iPad, or iPhone are supported on View 4.6 desktops. However, using iTunes to update an iOS device currently fails.
You must connect to a physical desktop PC or MAC and perform the update.
Note: All other USB operations work as expected. Only the OS update fails.
