When you run the df command to see the visorfs usage on ESXi 4.0.x hosts, the system incorrectly reports a value higher than the actual usage. For example, in the following table, the block usage is incorrect:
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on visorfs 7143816 7110056 33760 100% /
The commands vdf and vdu also do not work on ESXi 4.0.x., and as a result, you cannot get the visorfs disk usage statistics.
Solution
To work around these problems, run the vmkvsitools visorfsdu -h / or esxcfg-info -r command.
