VMware Capacity Planner Enterprise or Collection Dashboard does not display data for a Project (1034417)
Symptoms
- After registering the VMware Capacity Planner Data Manager to the Dashboard, no data appears under the Project's Enterprise or Collection Dashboard.
- You may see one or more of the following the errors:
- Cannot display dashboard: no inventory data has been collected.
- Cannot display dashboard: no statistics data has been collected.

If you view the Company Dashboard with which the Project is associated, data does appear in the Enterprise or Collection Dashboard.
- In step 1 of the Consolidation Estimate (CE) wizard, a CE is missing a green check mark for the task In the Data Manager, synchronize the collector with the Dashboard
Resolution
To display data for the Projects, you need to add Systems to the project before reporting can begin.
To add Systems for a Consolidation Assessment (CA) or Virtual Desktop Assessment (Desktop):
- Click the Project or Company Name affected.
- From the Administration Menu, click My Projects.
- Click the name of the Project affected.
- Click the Select Systems tab.
- Place a check next to the systems you want in this project, click Apply, then click OK.
- Go back to your Enterprise or Collection Dashboard and verify that the data is now being displayed.
To add Systems for a CE:
- Click the Project.
- Click the Step 1 tab.
- Click Edit Project Info.
- Click the Select Systems tab.
- Place a check next to the systems you want in this project, click Apply, then click OK.
- Go back to Step 1 for the project and validate the change.
