Unable to take snapshot of a virtual machine with DHCP as the primary interface (1034034)

Details

An error message similar to the following appears on the virtual machine Console page:
INFO Page.AkimbiPage - AkimbiPage OnInit caught and exception System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This issue occurs if the virtual machine is using DHCP and you perform any of the following tasks:

Set a revert point.
Revert to a snapshot.
Deploy an undeployed virtual machine.

Solution

Perform the Snapshot, Revert, and Delpoy operation from one of the following pages:

Configuration page
This page shows a table view of the virtual machines in a configuration.
Show Consoles page
This page shows the consoles of all virtual machines in the configuration.
