This patch resolves the following issue:
When you connect USB devices (including baseboard management controllers (BMC) such as iLo or DRAC-based USB devices) to EHCI controllers, an issue with memory corruption might sometimes cause an ESX host to fail with a purple screen and display error messages similar to the following:
