Solution

Summaries and Symptoms

In this release, the service console glibc, glibc-common, and nscd RPMs are updated to glibc-2.5-34.4909.vmw, glibc-common-2.5-34.4909.vmw, and nscd-2.5-34.4909.vmw respectively to resolve multiple security issues. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the names CVE-2010-3847 and CVE-2010-3856 to these issues addressed in this update.
