HQ Agent support on IA-64 microprocessor (1029950)
Purpose
This article provides information on HQ Agent support on IA-64 microprocessor.
Resolution
IA-64 is supported only through the use of the hq-agent-nowrapper.sh script located in the agent-x.x.x-EE\bundles\agent-x.x.x-EE-1278\bin directory.
Additional Information
Running the Agent without the Java Service Wrapper
If you run an HQ Agent on a system that does not support the Java Service Wrapper, or prefer not to use the Java Service Wrapper, you may start the HQ Agent without the wrapper.
Locate the hq-agent-nowrapper.sh agent start script in AgentHome/bundles/agent-x.y.z/bin.
Because hq-agent-nowrapper.sh does not fork itself into the background, run it using nohup: nohup AgentHome/bundles/agent-x.y.z/bin/hq-agent-nowrapper.sh.
