Solution

Summaries and Symptoms

This patch updates the service console glibc, glibc-common, and nscd RPMs to versions glibc-2.5-34.4908.vmw, glibc-common-2.5-34.4908.vmw, and nscd-2.5-34.4908.vmw respectively to resolve multiple security issues. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the names CVE-2010-3847 and CVE-2010-3856 to these issues.
