vSphere Client performs slowly on a Windows 7 system (1027836)

This issue occurs when desktop composition is enabled.

This issue is resolved in ESX 4.1 Update 2. To download ESX 4.1 Update 2, see the VMware Download Center.

To workaround this issue when you do not want to upgrade, disable desktop composition.

To disable desktop composition:

Right-click the shortcut for the vSphere Client and click Properties.
Click the Compatibility tab.
Select Disable desktop composition.

Note: This disables Aero desktop effects while the application is open.
Click OK.
Run the vSphere Client.
